I have done my last training ride this morning – in the drizzle (thanks Blighty!) Hopefully, we will get some nicer weather in France. A bit of a random photo today but I love the way the cows lined up in shade order!
It seemed appropriate to summarise the last six months training;
I have cycled;
– 3,470 km (2,150 miles)
– 210 hours
– up 45,600m (149,600 ft) of ascent (that’s 5 times the height of Everest)
and I have climbed Beeley Moor 28 times improving my time from 24 minutes to 14 minutes (on the Strava segment, ‘Hells Bank’)
I have finally won the love/hate relationship I started with the Garmin. Now, for a journey on roads that I don’t know, I wouldn’t be without it.
I really want to thank Graham and Sunsport Coaching – couldn’t have done it without you!
Next – the packing! See you on the other side (of the Channel!)
